Youth Congress Protest against NDA Government and PM Modi over Agusta-Westland Issue at PMO

BCR NEWS (New Delhi): Indian Youth Congress under leadership of IYC National President Shri Amarinder Singh Raja today launched protest against NDA Government and PM Modi over Agusta-Westland issue as Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and BJP government are seeking to ‘weave a web of lies’, perpetuate ‘falsehood’ and construct a ‘mesh of deception’ to ‘hoodwink the people of India’ in the Augusta Westland Helicopter purchase and its parent company Finmecanica. Modi government is indulging in this cover up conspiracy to hide its sinister role in helping and promoting a banned company Augusta Westland and its parent company, Finmecanica. What is most intriguing part of the conspiracy is the undisclosed reason on part of Modi government for permitting a blacklisted company i.e. Augusta Westland/ Finmecanica to get clearances from Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) and permit its entry as ‘partner or sub-contractor to various Indian corporates’.

 The protest was also to highlight that why did Modi government did not take any action against Chhattisgarh Chief Minister, Dr. Raman Singh despite an indictment of Chhattisgarh government by CAG in purchase of Augusta Westland Helicopter, which led to loss to public exchequer (according to CAG) of Rs.65 lakh and also against Smt. Vasundhara Raje despite an indictment of Rajasthan government by CAG in purchase of Augusta Westland Helicopter, which led to loss to public exchequer (according to CAG) of Rs.1.14 crore.

Whereas, on one hand Modi government begins its journey on false promise to get back the black money stacked in foreign bank accounts on the other hand they are giving way to these companies to sort out their black money in these fraud investment sectors. Surprisingly it is the hard-earned money of every citizen of this country that is spent on the luxuries of these millionaires and politicians. It is alarming to note that the government does not even want to acknowledge that they are playing with the lives and emotions of every individual.

Scores of Youth Congress Activist under the Leadership of IYC National President Shri Amarinder Singh Raja marched from IYC Office towards PMO but were stopped by Police barricading. Water Cannons were used and many activists were detained by the police. IYC NOB’s Gen. Sec. Himmat Singh, Gen. Sec. Vidit Choudhary, Secretary cum Delhi In-charge Sitaram Lamba, Secretary Umashankar Pandey, Secretary Ritvuj Joshi, Secretary Harikrishna, State President Maharashtra Vishwajeet Kadam, State President Mumbai Ganesh Yadav, State President Delhi Amit Malik, State President Madhya Pradesh Kunal Choudhary, State President UP-West Amantulla were also present in the protest today.
