BCR NEWS (New Delhi): After the first wrestling match in Uttrakhand under Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE), Gurgaon and Panipat will witness the international level fights on its ground.
Titled as the ‘Continental Wrestling Entertainment’ (CWE), the initiative that is focused on aggressively promoting the sport in India as well as scouting and developing talent from across the country in association with Integrated Brand Solutions (IBS), supported by Amardeep Singh the CEO of IBS and The Great Khali will witness its second leg of match in October.
Continental Wrestling Entertainment (CWE) run by ‘The Great Khali’ will be conducting two international level fights on 8th October in Tau Devi Lal stadium, Gurgaon and 12th October at Huda Grounds, Panipat where 15 International fighters and 35 Indian fighters both Male and Female will fight for the battle.
Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Anil Vij, said “For the first time ever, a sport like WWE will happen on the grounds of Haryana on such a big level. I am really impressed with the initiative that Khali is taking forward the traditional sport, ‘Wrestling’ and is awakening the youth to take part in this sport”
The Great Khali too added “I am thankful to the Haryana Government for supporting this initiative. Haryana today is competing in every sport. CWE gives the platform to many ordinary people who aim big in wrestling. I don’t want to die. With CWE, I wish to make thousands of Khali’s”
He further said “I myself have come a long way from an ordinary stone cutter in the hills. A Punjab Police inspector changed my life forever and similarly I want to bring change in the lives of ordinary people who don’t have access to this sport. I want the youth to take part in ‘Wrestling’ and that is the main motive of opening this academy (CWE). There is so much of talent in our country but they don’t have the motivation and resources to make their dreams their passion. I want to teach people so that they would make our country proud”
Haryana Government has made the fights entertainment tax free for the public.
