BCR News (Swati Bhat/Mumbai): Amitabh Bachchan’s Diwali bash, news of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s publicist injured in a freak accident spread like wildfire. It was reported that Shah Rukh Khan played the knight in shinning armour for Archana Sadanand after Archana’s lehenga caught fire at the Diwali bash.
Mid-Day reported that the accident took place in the wee hours of Monday morning (October 28). The report further suggested that as soon as Archana’s lehenga caught fire, it was Shah Rukh Khan who doused the fire, thus saving the damsel in distress.
Now, a few days later, a report in Bollywood Hungama has rubbished the claims saying that it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who saved Archana Sadanand, and not Shah Rukh Khan. “Archana Sadanand (Aishwarya’s publicist) was walking down the stairs when her dupatta caught fire in a deeya. In no time at all her clothes were aflame. Everyone was too stunned to do anything. It was Aishwarya who rushed and tore away the burning portion of Archana’s dupatta,” said an eyewitness who was present at the Diwali bash.
Earlier, as soon as the news of Shah Rukh Khan rescuing Archana made headlines, celebrities like Salman Khan and Farah Khan lauded the 54-year-old actor for his heroic act. Sharing a clip of the news, Farah Khan wrote, “@iamsrk mohabbatman to the rescue ! Praying for Archana’s speedy recovery ?”
Shah Rukh Khan’s close friend Salman Khan too lauded the actor. Calling him a hero, Salman shared a clip of Shah Rukh from Manwa Lage song (Chennai Express). In his appreciation post, Bollywood’s Chulbul Pandey said, “Hero woh hota hai jo aag mein kood ke, bhuja ke, bachaata hai.” Shah Rukh neither denied nor confirmed the news even after his friends put up appreciation posts.
And now a report suggests that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was the real hero at the Diwali bash, and not Shah Rukh Khan.
