BCR NEWS (Noida): Actor Harbhajan Mann promoted his upcoming suspense Punjabi thriller ‘Gadaar-The Traitor’ along with Director Amitoj Mann and producer Sumeet Singh at Movie time theatre, Noida .
The film is produced under the banner of Saga-Unisys Infosolutions and Grandsons Films and will have a fresh concept amidst the overdose of comedy and romance. Breaking the stereotypes of storylines that has been set for so long, the film believes to be a complete package of action, romance, suspense and thrill, opening doors for other film makers.
Pioneer in Punjabi music and film industry, Harbhajan Mann is all set to give treat to his fans in an all new avatar with this film. Portraying a character named ‘Jay Singh’, He will be playing business tycoon who is adventurous yet exciting. Talking about his character he said “It’s always good to play with characters and my look in the film is totally different. All thanks to Amitoj Mann that he has come up with such great idea. People have tendency to get bore with things after a point of time so it’s very important to entertain them with something different”.
From ‘Yariyaan’ to sexy ‘Lara’ in ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’, this German model turned actress’s looks and talent paved ways for more more roles in Bollywood. After her recent releases ‘Kuch Kuch Locha Hai’ and her debut film‘Ishqedarriyaan’, this girl next door is all set to leave her impressions in Punjabi cinema too. When asked about the challenges she faced, the actress said “My acting has grown as I have done many Hindi films back. No doubt it was difficult but at the end of the day you’re happy because you end up learning something new and delivering Punjabi dialogues was like a challenge for me as it is not everyone’s cup of tea. So yes in a way your past experience makes you confident enough to take the challenge and it ultimately helps you to realise your potential.”
Manpreet Grewal who won the title “Miss Australian Punjaban” in 2012 will also be debuting in the movie as a female lead playing a character of a journalist. Asked about her excitement she said “This is my very first movie that too as a lead so I was actually shocked and excited at the same when the director approached me for the role. Also the character I am playing is very challenging and working with such great people in your first is itself an opportunity to learn so many things from them”
Director Amitoj Mann who has directed films like ‘Haani’, ‘Hawayein’, ‘Kaafila’ and many music videos believes that “it’s high time to change the face of Punjabi cinema and with this film the audience will see more than just romance and love”

The trailer of the film has already been released and has created excitement among the Punjabi buffs. The film is shot in the locations of Punjab, Goa, Bombay and Toronto and involves an expensive budget because of action sequences and different locations and is slated to release on 29th May, 2015.
