BCR NEWS (New Delhi): The Indian Punjabi singer Satinder Sartaaj, who shot to fame by the song ‘Sai’ launched his new brand new album ‘Hamza- a sufiana ecstasy’ at Le Meridien, Delhi.

Sartaaj even sang songs from his album ‘Hamza’ and entertained the media fraternity. 

Penned by Sartaj himself ‘Hamza’ consists of seven sufi songs with a blend of meaningful lyrics and is believed to convey a social and spiritual message. The album is produced under Firdaus Productions.

Sartaaj who has redefined Punjabi music with his soul stirring lyrics and multifaceted songs is not just a voice but also a writer, poet and a composer. He is considered as the savior of Gurmukhi language, punjabi culture, traditions and folk. So, after delivering hits like ‘Sai’, ‘Putt Sadey’, ‘Cheerey Waliyan’, ‘Soohe Khat’, he is all set to vow his fans once again with ‘Hamza-a sufiana ecstasy’. Telling about the album, He said “Hamza is a beautiful poetic journey which will take you into the deep lyrics, soothing music the ecstasy of Sufism. ‘Hamza’ which is used to enhance the sound of a world is also used for a true brave. Infact, the songs in the album will connect to each and every individual. Like if you’ll listen to the first song, it’ll tell you not to run after materialistic things in life. Same way the other song will convey a social message to connect with the nature and other lives on the planet and that’s the meaning of sufi- pure, selfless and meaningful”

This multi-gifted artist is even gearing up for his acting debut in Hollywood film, ‘The Black Prince’ which is based on a true story of the last king of Punjab, Maharaja Duleep Singh. Asked about how he feels to be a part of an international project, He said, “It feels great. I mean who would not like to be a part of such amazing project. Infact I have been reading many screenplays from past few years but when this film came to me it hit my heart. I could feel a deep profound connection with the story.”

So with an international project in hand and such inclination towards music, Sartaaj’s truly going to be appraised internationally.
