BCR News (Mumbai): Expect it from the protege of renowned director Mansoor Khan to come up with interesting shooting styles and locations. Upcoming director Saandesh Nayak who acted with Mansoor Khan in Josh seems to be on an exploring spree. After all, the man has to his credit the exploration of unheard of places for the shooting of his debut film Love Shagun. Starring Nidhi Subbaiah, Anuj Sachdeva, Manit Joura, Vikram Kochhar, Shamin Mannan, Manreet Kaur, Taran Bajaj, Love Shagun has been shot in three locations in Goa but what’s interesting is that two out of the three locations have amusing stories about them!
Apparently, for a song sequence of the film, a narrow ramp was created on a lake. It was during the the shooting on that ramp that the lead actors, Anuj Sachdeva and Nidhi Subbaiah, were told that there were crocodiles beneath the ramp and in the lake. This left the actors nervous as they were the only two on the bridge and didn’t want to be the food for the crocodiles. The films crew was placed a distance away, safer on the land and would not be of any use, just in case.
In another incident, while filming a choreographed song sequence, the team of ‘Love Shagun’ discovered a new location. Apparently, it is a piece of land in the middle of the Goa sea which gets covered with water and remains visible only for a a short duration of 4 hours during the day. The cast and crew actually travelled up to the little island, shot the sequence and came back in planned time. Director Saandesh Nayak being a non- swimmer had to be ushered out from the sea, leaving his swimmer team members to wrap it up.
Helmed by Saandesh, Love Shagun is a Romantic comedy about ten different definitions of love where the definitions are the characters themselves. It revolves around the subject of respecting one another in a relationship and promises to be an out an out entertainer. Vishwanath Chatterjee is the creative producer of the film, Karthik Palani is the director of photography, Aarti Bajaj is the editor with songs by Ashish Pandit, Rishi-Siddharth and Tochi Raina.
