Re-settlement of Kashmiri Hindus in Valley in a distinct homeland is the only solution for peace in J&K
2nd International Kashmiri Hindu Conference held at Delhi for Panun Kashmir (Own Kashmir)
BCR NEWS (New Delhi): 25 years ago, on 27th December 1990, Kashmiri Hindus formally raised their demand for a distinct homeland within Kashmir valley & called it Panun (Our) Kashmir – an area within the Kashmir valley that would be governed as a centrally administered territory under Indian constitution. Ever since it’s observed as Homeland Day annually all over the world by the community members. On 26thanniversary of this day, Youth 4 Panun Kashmir (Y4PK) under the aegis of Panun Kashmir, organized the 2nd International Kashmiri Hindu Youth Conference today(December 27,2015)at Satya Sai Auditorium, Lodhi Road, New Delhi. The program provided a platform for the displaced community and other likeminded people from across the world to exchange their thoughts and joint future plan . Theme of this Program was ‘PANUN INDIA reaches PANUN KASHMIR’ with a perspective that for the first time ever all nationalist forces across the globe stand united for the cause of displaced Kashmiri Pandits.
This was based on the continual efforts and actionable outreach by Y4PK Activists from last three years, following 1st International KP Youth Conference in 2012 which had resolved to reach out to Nationalists across world for creating awareness about KP extermination & exile.
A Strong political Panel discussion by eminent scholars, academicians, writers & political personalities on past, current & a way forward towards honorable return of Kashmiri Pandits. ThePoliticalpanel consisted of representatives of various nationalist organizations from different parts of country, along with Dr Agnishekhar – Convener PanunKashmir and Dr Ajay Chrungoo – Chairman Panun Kashmir. It was resolved that anational endorsement of Homelandis the only, and just, geo-political solution for the Kashmiri Hindus considering the sacred declaration of Margdharshan adapted on 1st Homeland day by displaced people.
A unanimous reiteration &resolution was passed by the participants on 4 non-negotiable for the return of the Kashmiri Pandits:
- Acceptance of the problem as religious cleansing and genocide– It was resolved that the issue of return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus to Kashmir valley cannot be addressed without recognizing the fact that they were subjected to religious cleansing and genocide which eventually lead to their displacement. Addressing the issue of return and rehabilitation of Kashmiri Hindus in any other concocted context only compounds the problem and is tantamount to denial of genocide.
- Forming a Tribunal of Justice– It was resolved that the government of India should recognize the problem of uprootment of Kashmiri Hindus as genocide and invoke the covenants of prevention of genocide. It was further resolved the government of India should create a tribunal on the pattern of Nuremberg trials to bring the perpetrators of genocide of Kashmiri Hindus to justice.
- Centrally Administrative Place, One Territory– It was resolved that Kashmiri Hindus be rehabilitated at one centrally administered territory in Kashmir valley with free flow of Indian Constitution. A sustainable and permanent return of Kashmiri Hindus will be possible only in such a dispensation.
- Accession of Kashmir is non-negotiable– It was resolved that accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India is final and irrevocable.

The program clearly establishedas to how Panun Kashmir ensures core Indian values are re-established in the valley. It also interpolated the lessons learnt from Kashmir so that the terrorism can’t get replicated in other parts of India where nationalists are in minority or depleting faster due to demographic erosion.
