BCR NEWS (New Delhi): Indian Youth Congress launched a massive protest with thousands of workers against inconvenience caused to common man due to demonetization of currency. The Youth Congress workers marched from IYC Head office towards Parliament under the leadership of IYC President Amarinder Singh Raja. MP Anand Sharma addressed the protesters, while addressing the workers he said “BJP Govt doesn’t have any planning for execution of demonetization, a day back Govt Said we have sufficient currency and very next day they have reduced the exchange amount from Rs. 4500 to Rs. 2000 and compared Hitler to PM Modi for harassment caused to Common man.
AICC Communication Head Randeep Singh Surjewala said “Our Currency Printing Machines have capacity to Print 300 Crore Currency Note in a month and we need 2100 Crore Notes which will take 7 months to get printed and reach Common Man’s pocket. 47 people have lost their life due to harassment caused because of demonetization”. Raja Brar said “PM Modi is responsible for the death of 47 people and should be charged with Section 302 for punishment of Murder. He also demanded compensation of Rs. 1 Crore each to families of 47 people”.
He Also Said “This Decision of PM Modi has caused pain to people admitted in hospitals, even a mother cannot deliver a baby because they do not have new currency”. Police used Water Cannons to disperse protestors at barricades however protestors broke the barricades and moved ahead. President Amarinder Singh Raja was detained with Hundreds of Protestors. IYC Incharge Suraj Hegde and all the National Office Bearers along with Youth congress State President’s were too detained by police.
