BCR NEWS (Mumbai) Dr. D. Y. Patil Educational Enterprises Charitable Trust’s Dr. D Y Patil School of Engineering & Technology organized a two-day National Level Technical Event – ‘Technova’15’ recently at Dr. D Y Patil Knowledge City, organized by Dr. DYP SOET, Pune. A total of 15 events took place over the two days, involving over 550 students including more than 100 students from other Colleges which included MMIT, Pune, MIT Alandi, Dhole Patil, Wagholi, GH Raisoni, Wagholi, JSPM, Wagholi, St. Mira’s School, Pune, Dr. DYP SOE, Pune, D Y Patil COE Akurdi etc.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. Aditya S Abhyankar (Dean – Faculty of Technology, Savitribai Phule Pune University) along with Prof. B. G. Bhandarkar (Director – Corporate Relations), Mr. Anil Zahir (PRO – Dr. D Y Patil Knowledge City), Dr. S. S. Sonavane (Director – Dr. D Y Patil Technical Campus), Dr. Uttam Kalwane (Principal- DYPSOET), Prof. Rahul P Bachute (Convenor Technova’15 & HOD- Dept of Mech Engg) and Mr. N B Pawar (Co-convenor.
Dr. Ajeenkya DY Patil (Chairman – Dr. D Y Patil Group) graced the event and appreciated the efforts taken by the students to organize and manage this event.
Commenting on the event said Dr. Ajeenkya Patil, “Dr. D Y Patil School of Engineering & Technology is successfully organizing this event since last three years and got overwhelming response to it. Technova’15 provides a national platform to showcase not only their talent and innovations but also sharpen their technical skill and team work also give opportunity to win exciting cash prizes.”
Under Technova’15, Dr. D Y Patil School of Engineering & Technology had organized the following events – RC Racing , Robo Race, Project Exhibition, Quiz Competition, Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Model Making, Town Planning, Auto-Cad race, Circuit Designing, Programming Contest, Computer Gaming, One minute Show, Slow Biking and Box cricket.
Dr. Patil observed the project done by the students and wished them good luck. The entire festival was led by Student and Faculty team of Dr. D Y Patil SOET.
