Box Office India: 2nd Friday – Dilwale Drops; Bajirao Mastani To Cross 100 Crores Today

BCR NEWS (Mumbai): Christmas has proved a happy time for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, while Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale seems to have not had as big a day at the ticket counters!
After showing clear signs of growth on its first Thursday (on completion of one week, the film made Rs. 10.52 crores on seventh day), Bajirao Mastani earned Rs. 12.25 crores on its second Friday, thus bringing its total collections to Rs. 98.40 crores at the domestic box office. Easily, the period romance saga, starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles, is going to cross the 100 crore mark today.
On the other hand, Shah Rulk Khan and Kajol’s Dilwale, after taking the box office by storm during its opening weekend and maintaining a decent run over the weekdays, went down and raked in Rs. 8.11 crores on its eighth day. The film that entered the 100-crore club yesterday (first Thursday), stands with a total business of Rs. 110.76 crores at the domestic box office.
Looks like, Bajirao Mastani is soon going to overtake Dilwale in the number game!
