BCR NEWS (New Delhi): Noted Ayurveda Vaidya Padamshree Balendu Prakash today called for greater awareness of chronic pancreatitis in the public. The often fatal disease is witnessing an upsurge in India, he cautioned and said only a determined effort combining the benefits of mainstream medicine and traditional wisdom of Ayurveda can bring innovative treatment to people suffering from the disease.
Vaidya Balendu Prakash was addressing members of the Delhi Legislative Assembly at the Old Secretariat. The lecture was organized by the Bureau of Legislative Studies as part of an ongoing series of lectures by eminent personalities. A few weeks ago, eminent activist P Sainath had addressed the legislators on the water crisis in the country.
While describing chronic pancreatitis as an irreversible ailment which usually strikes around the age of 24 years, the Dehra Dun-based Vaidya Balendu however explained that his treatment, developed after years of research, was extremely effective in controlling and curing the disease.
Interestingly, several patients cured by him were also present and spoke about how he had cured them completely with his unique herbo-mineral formulation.
Introducing Vaidya Balendu to the audience Honble Speaker of Delhi Legislative Assembly Ram Niwas Goel spoke about his long personal association with Vaidya Balendu Prakash. “ I took a young relative who was 14 years old for treatment to Vaidyaji’s facility at Dehra Dun. Not only did she survive, but she is the healthy mother of a child, thanks to Vaidyaji’s treatment.”
During his lecture Vaidya Balendu mentioned that “this is the first time an Ayurvedic treatment has been discussed in a legislative assembly in India” and thanked the legislators for their support to Ayurveda. He requested Delhi Health Minister Satyender Jain to help set up a modern ayurvedic facility in Delhi so that patients could get treated in Delhi itself instead of traveling to Dehra Dun.
Other dignitaries present at the event included Hon’ble Deputy Speaker Ms Rakhi Birla and secretary of the legislative assembly Prasanna K Suryadevara.
