BCR News (Swati Bhat/Mumbai): Mega Power Star Ram Charan gave a perfect present to his father Mega Star Chiranjeevi, by fulfilling his long unrealized dream of starring in the role of a freedom fighter with Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy.
It is known that Chiranjeevi many times expressed his desire to star in the role of a freedom fighter and revealed that he selected Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy but due to budget constraints the project did not take off. Writer Paruchuri Brothers who two decades back came with the proposal of Sye Raa with the passage of time even lost hopes on the project. Ram Charan drawing inspiration from the success of Rajamouli’s Baahubali, did not compromise on the budget and pumped in mammoth finances and thus made Sye Raa possible.
The film with a star-studded cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Kicha Sudeep, Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Tamannaah, Jagapathi Babu and others with Chiranjeevi in the lead is doing wonders at the box office. When Chiranjeevi entered politics, the project went into the backburner. During that time even Chiru came with a proposal suggesting Cherry’s name to Paruchuri brothers. Had Chiru continued in politics, Sye Raa would have been made with Ram Charan in the lead. If that would have taken place, Ram Charan in the role of Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy would have done even greater justice to the film. Those who watched the film felt that the impact would have been even more powerful.
Though Chiranjeevi came with a career-best performance, in some intro scenes and in romantic scenes his age showed up. Even in action scenes, everyone could make out that the makers managed those scenes with a dupe. Had Ram Charan donned Narasimha Reddy with his fit physique, he could have created an even bigger Box Office sensation.
