BCR News (New Delhi): Today, Indian Youth Congress staged a protest against contemptuous remark by RSS Chief, against the Indian Army as well as the Nation. The protest march started from Indian Youth Congress Office, Raisina Road and was moving towards RSS office at Jhandewalan when it was forcefully stopped by police. Police manhandled youth protesters and detained them.
We demand unconditional apology from the RSS Chief Mr. Mohan Bhagwat for his awfully disgusting remark on Indian Army.
As Five soldiers and a civilian lose their lives after terrorists stormed the Sunjuwan Army camp in Jammu on Saturday, cheif of RSS chooses to insult the army. While addressing RSS workers in Muzaffarpur, Mohan Bhagwat claimed that the RSS can prepare an army within 3 days. It’s takes months for our army to train and prepare, but RSS thinks they are better than the Army.
Such a statement shows that RSS seems to have lost trust on Army under the regime of BJP government or is trying to focus on building a parallel army. But as Congress has always stood by Constitution and Country’s Laws, we respect our Defence and trust Nation’s Army. An underlying threat is clearly evident in his speech, as he openly stated that, if the Government agrees to CHANGE THE CONSTITUTION and allows RSS to raise its army, then he can do it in 3 days. It seems to be an open call for private brigades to be raised.
What the RSS needs to understand it is because of our soldiers that are protecting are borders that people like them are able to stand safely and make these statements. They need to know better than to insult them.
Indian Youth Congress demands an apology from the RSS for this disgusting statement and if no apology comes then we are going to take this protest further at every corner of the country.
This protest march of IYC was led under the leadership of IYC National Secretary Shri. Sitaram Lamba and the newly elected DPYC President Shri. Vikash Chikara along with delhi state office bearers and youth activists.
